Us with our projects!

So here's our group with all of our individual prototypes. We found a common theme in our group is that we are all designing for an electronic object. One member of our group, however, is showing the other side of that by designing a box for non-technological items such as pens and pencils.

Class 11.22

In class today, our group discussed the personality traits of a person who would buy boxed water. This is what we came up with:

-on the go
-recycle bags, plastic, cans, etc.
-healthy, gym-going
-individualistic
-one with nature
-trendy, possibly a hipster
-probably have an Iphone or Droid
-want the latest, greatest thing
-leader
-direct
-shout
-act
-part of the "going green" crowd
-probably middle class or higher
-clean
-aspire for a clean Earth
-might be vegetarian
-sexy
-into themselves and their looks/health
-level of intimacy: single, ready to mingle, looking but cannot find Mr. or Mrs. Right because no one is good enough for them
-probably have a dog as a companion
-jog with the dog, dog drinks boxed water as well
-works hard, but also plays hard

Day One Progress

Today in class we discussed many options of reusing the packaging. We had a lot of ideas in the food category, and products we could make from the paper cardboard. Some of these were silverware, coasters, takeout containers, plates, party bowls, ice cube tray, hot drink sleeve, and measuring cups for baking. We also discussed technology and came up with a cell phone/ipod case.
